1) Based on the data, what color of light results in the fastest rate of photosynthesis? Propose an explanation for these results.
Colorless provided the fastest rate because since it isn't any color, it allows all of the light to come through.
2) Based on the data, what level of light results in the fastest rate of photosynthesis? Propose an explanation for these results.
Light level 10 gave the fastest rate. It gives the highest level of concentrated light.
3) Based on the data, what CO2 level results in the fastest rate of photosynthesis? Propose an explanation for these results.
CO2 level 10. The more amount of CO2 they're able to get, the more production they can do with it.
4) Based on the simulation experiments, what factors can affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant? How do you know?
The factors include light intensity, light color, and CO2 levels. We all tested them to prove that they affect the rate the of photosynthesis.
5) Write the equation for photosynthesis
6CO2+6H2O -> C6H12O6+6O2
6) What are the bubbles you are measuring in this lab? Why do the bubbles tell you how fast photosynthesis is occurring?
The bubbles are air that is being released. It tells how much they are producing oxygen.
7) Why is it important that you keep two variables constant (such as light level and color) while you're testing how a third variable (CO2 Level) affects photosynthesis? So we can see how much that variable affects the rate.
8) What can you put the simulator on to get the maximum rate of photosynthesis?
Put level 10 on light and CO2 levels and have a colorless light bulb
Colorless provided the fastest rate because since it isn't any color, it allows all of the light to come through.
