Properties of Water
Water has two parts: 2 Hydrogen atoms (H) and 1 oxygen atom (O)
Water has unique properties that sets it appart from other liquids.
Water is a Polar Molecule
It's when the electrons spend more time around the Oxygen atom. Therefore the H end is slightly positive.
Hydrogen Bonding: It's a weak attraction between weakly positive H atoms and weakly negative O atoms of a different molecule.

Water is a Universal Solvent
Water can dissolve many materials.
It also has unique abilities of adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension.
Adhesion is when water is attracted to other materials.
Cohesion is when water molecules are attracted to each other.
Surface tension is when cohesive forces on the surface of water is stronger then ones below it.
Water can absorb lots of heat
High Heat of Vaporation: Hydrogen bonds must be broken so that water can absorb lots of heat without changing its phase.
High Latent Heat of Fusion: It's when heat is released when it is freezed and heat is taken in when it's melted
Water temperature is more stable than air temperature, so it can moderate climate
