Ocean Exploration Talk
NOAA stands for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Also NASA has 1,600 times more money than NOAA
We don't have good maps of the ocean because we haven't explored all of it.
50% of the US is below sea level.
Only 4 to 5 people are deep in sea on a GOOD day.

The Mid-Ocean Range covers 23% of Earth's surface
The Earth and specifically the deep sea doesn't feel the Sun's warmth because photons can't go or reach that deep in the ocean.
So a lot of the living things down there need to depend on chemosynthesis to create their own energy.
What people found in the very deep sea is hydrothermal vents, tube worms, giant clams that have bacteria over them, and other life forms that are unique and rare.

The average depth of the oceans is 12,000 ft.
Telepresence is vitural presence, to have someone like feel as if they are somewhere else but still be where they actually are thanks to current technology.
The Okeanos Explorer was an ex Navy Ship. Then it was converted to a exploratory vessel by NOAA, as it uses "telepresence technology".

What I think about living at sea, I think it will unique, interesting, and good experience. It will be cool to see all of the aquatic life swim by and the whole environment can look very beautiful.
I think it is important to explore the oceans because there can be things we still haven't even discovered yet. Then anything that is discovered can be very useful for us people to use or study in the future.
